Well, I’m trying this for the 3rd time. First it was Xanga. Then it was Blogger. Now WordPress. It may be a charm or I may flop again. I was a consistent journaler since 1996. But, in 2006, I stopped journaling about everyday of my life and got a job, a husband, a house, 2 dogs and a shortage of time. So my 26 journals sit in a box that will be buried with me when I die, waiting for there to be a 27th to join them, heck, maybe up to a 30th someday. I used to go through a whole journal in 3 months tops. Now, I’ve had the same journal (which says “Autumn” on the front) since January 2006. Pathetic. And the sad part is there is much more to write about now that I’m married and grown up. Sort of. Maybe I’ll be inspired once again to document more personal things in my journal at home, and keep a light record here of what’s happening with art and work and Unreal Tournament and silly things my dogs do and funny things that my husband says and the outlandish things that happen to Mike Lawrentz and reviews of local eateries and updates on new discoveries in my family tree. I’m going to have fun with all this madness.
I’ve forsaken my journaling days
